Smart Car and Electric cars launch in the USA with Zap

Finally, the Smart Car is launching in the USA with a distribution company called ZAP. It seems kind of odd to me that they are being sold directly through the Mercedes dealers in Canada but being sold only through a distributor in the USA. That is the reverse of much of our business.

Intererestingly, Zap is also distributing the inappropriately and humorously named “Intimidator LUV” (I’m not making this up.) It is pictured here below, and is a fully electric vehicle that is charged from 110/220V and goes up to 25mph (42kph) and will drive for up to 50 miles at a charge. I wonder if anybody is considering importing these into Canada?
