Consumers continue to trade personal information for easter eggs, movie tickets, and donuts

The Register once again does its usual bang-up job of reporting on the humour in technology. I believe it was Bruce Schneier who once said that people always claimed to be concerned about their data privacy…unless you offered them a donut. (I might be attributing that quote incorrectly as I can’t find it anymore.) And according to this study that the Register refers to, people are still that daft. Not a surprise that identity theft is such a burgeoning business.
